Bryce Point is one of the most scenic viewpoints at Bryce Canyon National Park as it overlooks high above the amphitheater of rock formations and countless hoodoos. This is a stunning vista that often leaves the viewer without words.  At 8,300 feet (2,500 m) you’ll have panoramic views of Bryce Canyon including looking north towards Inspiration Point, Sunset Point, and Sunrise Point.  The rising morning sun at Bryce Point treats viewers and photographers to a perpendicular view of the sun’s rays spreading crimson fire across the scene below.  A true wonder and beauty!  At Bryce Point, you’ll likely encounter wildlife including squirrels, chipmunks, and birds.

The area was first settled in 1870 by Ebenezer Bryce. While this settler stayed in the area for just five years it quickly became known as Bryce’s Canyon. The only thing he is known to have said of this wondrous place was, “It’s a hell of a place to lose a cow.”  Bryce Point is the trailhead for Peek-a-Boo Loop, a strenuous 5.5 mile (8.8 km) hike which takes you past the Wall of Windows, Three Wisemen, and other formations hidden in the maze of hoodoos.
