Mesa Arch clings to the cliff edge overhanging the expansive canyons below. This short and easy hike is a must-see during your visit to Canyonlands National Park. Along the path, you may discover cacti blooming in pink and yellow as well as other desert flowers. Keep your eyes on the horizon to be the first in your group to spot the arch at the edge of the mesa. Framed inside Mesa Arch is a stunning landscape composed of the white-rimmed canyons, cliff walls, spires, the La-Sal mountains and the distant horizon. Capturing sunrise at Mesa Arch is on the bucket list of many photographers, although anyone with a camera will get spectacular photos here any time of the day.

Mesa Arch is a half mile round trip and will take you about an hour and a half to experience. This trail has a small dedicated parking lot where you will find a well-marked trailhead and a vault toilet restroom. This trail is absent of any cliffs or trees that will provide shade so be sure to wear a hat and carry water when hiking during the hot season.
